You, as a member of the Puppy Creek Fire Department, will belong to one of the most progressive fire departments in the area. Over the past several years, advances in the fire service have made Puppy Creek F.D. one of the finest volunteer departments in North Carolina. Our recent equipment upgrades have allowed us to fully modernize our firefighting capabilities. Being a member of this organization will definitely give you a feeling of pride and distinction!
Volunteering as a firefighter is one of the most satisfying and worthwhile things anyone can do in their lifetime. However, being a well-trained and knowledgeable firefighter will give you an even greater feeling of pride and distinction. As a firefighter of Puppy Creek, you will gain the satisfaction of being an unpaid professional, shouldering the morals and responsibility of doing your job efficiently. Many times you will be asked to do little extras, and, as a member of this department, you will be qualified to do so.
We conduct realistic, potentially lifesaving training every Monday beginning at 7:00 P.M. All members are also strongly encouraged to attend seminars and the Fire Academy to further their firefighting knowledge and skill set.
